 Fox II is an 80 year old gaff rigged sailing trawler, specialising in relaxed wildlife cruises of Akaroa in summer (Jan-May) and evening charters from Lyttelton at other times.
Her wildlife cruises have been the highlight of many visitors time in New Zealand. Inobtrusively drifting through seabird and seal colonies, with penguins, albatross and the rare hectors dolphin as regular companions, Fox is as much a part of Akaroa Harbour as its volcanic cliffs and sea caves. Interested guests are encouraged to help sail her, and food and drink are available on board.
