America's Cup Team: Stars & Stripes USA

Stars & Stripes Team USA is the first all-American entry in over 15 years. They've been accepted as the 5th challenger and represent the Long Beach Yacht Club in California. The team already started building their AC75 race yacht in Michigan based on a design kit purchased from Emirates Team New Zealand.

More details on Stars & Stripes Team USA and their all-American entry will be released at the team’s public launch event in Los Angeles which will be live-streamed in early 2019.

The status of the team's participation is unclear at the moment since there seem to be some financing issues which leaves them with a half build hull. It seems they later tried to buy Emirates Team New zealand's 1st generation boat but that was denied by the America's Cup Arbiration panel. (see also here)
